.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 455 AM EDT Fri Apr 25 2025
Today...Onshore flow continues today on the south side of the Atlc
ridge axis. Marine stratocumulus will push onshore and well
inland. Cannot rule out a brief sprinkle or very light shower this
morning along the coast from the Cape southward. But measurable
rain is not forecast. Max temps similar to previous days reaching
the upper 80s/near 90 interior and low to mid 80s coast.
Sat-Sun...The Atlc ridge axis will shift south across the area Sat
and weaken Sun as a weak trough approaches the area. The weaker
pressure gradient will produce lighter winds though the sea breeze
will develop each afternoon. Temperatures will be noticeably
warmer reaching the low to mid 90s interior and mid to upper 80s
coast. A Moderate HeatRisk exists on Sunday over the interior of
east central Florida as temps will be several degrees above normal
though heat indices will stay close to the actual temperatures.
Leesburg will have the best chance to equal/exceed its record high
of 93F on Sun. The weekend is forecast to remain rain-free for
most. Sea breeze collision over the interior late on Sun will
produce a small (20%) chance for showers late in the aftn/early
eve.
Mon-Thu...Moisture increases (PWATs 1.30-1.50") over east central
Florida Mon and combined with some upper support in NW flow aloft
will produce a chance for showers and a few storms. The sea breeze
should initiate scattered showers and isolated storms as it pushes
inland during the day with the best chance (40%) over the
interior in the afternoon. Lowest rain chances are 20% over
Martin/St Lucie counties. As reinforcing high pressure builds over
the area Tue, the increased easterly flow combined with lingering
moisture will support onshore-moving showers but will keep
coverage mainly isolated (20%) for now. Drier air is forecast to
advect from the east Wed-Thu as the ridge axis settles south into
central FL so will maintain a dry forecast then with PoPs 10% or
less. The stronger onshore flow Tue will hold max temps to the
lower 80s coast and mid 80s interior. But warming up mid week,
reaching the lower 90s interior and mid 80s coast by Thu.

.MARINE...
Issued at 455 AM EDT Fri Apr 25 2025
Today...Atlc ridge axis remains north of the area so a
continuation of the E to ESE wind flow is forecast. The pressure
gradient will support 10 knots across the northern waters and
10-15 knots central and south. Brief sprinkles or very light
showers are noted over the Brevard and Treasure coast waters and
some of these will push onshore early this morning. Seas a choppy
3-4 FT.
Sat-Tue...The ridge axis slips south and will be draped across the
local area Sat resulting in a lighter wind flow and produce more
favorable boating conditions though aftn sea breeze will enhance
the onshore flow 10-14 knots. The pressure gradient collapses
further on Sunday as a weak trough settles into the area. Light
offshore flow Sun morning will turn onshore in a sea breeze in the
aftn. High pressure to the north will build over the area early
next week and return the deeper onshore flow. An increase in
moisture will promote isolated to scattered showers and isolated
storms Sunday night and Monday. Onshore moving coastal showers are
possible Tue before drier air pushes in from the east. Winds are
forecast to increase from the east Mon-Tue at 10-15kts. Seas
rebuilding 3-4ft nearshore and up to 5ft offshore Monday night and
Tue.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFs)
Issued at 120 AM EDT Fri Apr 25 2025
Onshore winds 5 to 10 knots pick up late this morning to 10 to 15
knots, becoming gusty along the coastal terminals in the
afternoon. Winds become a bit more southeasterly late tonight as
winds diminish to around 5 to 10 knots. Rain continues to evade
the area. VFR VIS and CIGs anticipated through the period.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 455 AM EDT Fri Apr 25 2025
Warm, dry conditions are forecast through Saturday. Min RH values
will reach 35 to 40 percent across the interior each afternoon.
Closer to the coast, min RH values are forecast between 45-55
percent. East winds today will be enhanced by the sea breeze with
speeds 12-15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph at times especially along
the coast. Above normal temperatures continue across the interior
with highs in the upper 80s today and warming into the lower 90s
Saturday and even a few mid 90s on Sunday. Coastal communities
will warm into the mid 80s this weekend. Although Red Flag
Warnings are not anticipated, such warm, dry and breezy/gusty
conditions will produce fire weather sensitive conditions
supporting rapid drying of fuels and spread of any new or ongoing
fires. Very Good smoke dispersion is forecast today and generally
Good Saturday as surface and transport winds decrease slightly.
Burn bans are in effect for Lake, Seminole, Orange, Volusia, and
Brevard counties.
